The system of subjects of ensuring their own security in the police

Abstract

Today, the protection of police officers is one of the important conditions for the effective operation of the National Police. Socio-political transformations in our country and the implementation of institutional reforms in the law enforcement system necessitate clarification of the subject composition (institutional component) of the administrative and legal mechanism to ensure their own security in the police. The object of this study is public relations in the field of ensuring the own safety of police officers from unlawful encroachments related to their performance of official duties. The purpose of this article is to define the concept of the system of subjects of ensuring their own security in the police, to outline the list of such subjects and their systematization. To achieve this goal, general scientific and special methods of scientific research were used. According to the results of the research, the concept of "system of subjects of ensuring one's own security in the police" is formulated. It is established that the system of such subjects is formed by: bodies (institutions) of general and branch competence: the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights, the President of Ukraine, the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, courts of general jurisdiction, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, executive bodies, local self-government bodies; bodies of special (functional) competence: the Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine, which includes: the main special bodies and auxiliary special bodies; directly the heads of police bodies and subdivisions to ensure their own safety in these bodies (subdivisions) and subordinate employees.
